I've always liked the way Bill Maus draws women. On the back inside cover of the newest release of Zen (Zen #1 by Zen Comics Publishing, May 2003) was this cool picture of Nira-X and Zen. I had nothing better to do so I thought I would scan it and color it. When I finished coloring it, I sent a copy to Bill Maus to get his opinion of it. He really enjoyed it and wanted me to stop by his booth at San Diego Comic Con. At the con, I did pay them a visit and had a blast talking to them (they even signed some of my books)! Bill even printed the picture in the back of Zen #3 (July 2003).
I really like the way Zen's skin texture came out. It looks real "alien" skin!
